It's not unique, so you can equip two for 54 stamina and 54 hit. That's about ~700 health for bears and ~700 for paladins, and ~600 for warriors and DKs. (Numbers aren't super dead on since it's buff and talent dependent and you might not have all your buffs/talents while you level, but they're good estimates.) The hit works out to be about 3.4% at level 70, which is amazing for threat gen since most leveling gear lacks hit. Given that mitigation is worth less and less per point as you level, gearing for stam versus busting your butt to reach the def cap each level is a better option.ġa.) Unless your toon is getting boosted through BC raids/heroics or spending a fortune on BC Darkmoon decks, this is the ONLY trinket you can get before 80 that has stamina unless you have a profession. (Alchemy, JC, and Engineering all have trinkets that add stam, but this doesn't help you a bit if you're a tank with gathering or other production profs.) The Mercurial Stone is also unique in that it's literally the only trinket in the game that has both stam and hit on it.Ģ.) The mats for this are ridiculously easy to get and any given Alchemist above 325 can make this since it's a trainer formula. That means you get two awesome trinkets for basically no work. No instance farming, no questing, you just ask an Alchemist to make these for you and you've got two trinkets that will last you forever.Įasy to get, no professions required, and it lasts you until 80. I love this trinket.Ĭomment by ThottbotI love the last post. It is quite humorous that the people complaining all the time about professions and the low prices are the same people that have things that are cheaper than the raw items themselves in AH. I just use the prospecting skill to make my money, adn teh new glass gem is also quite nice, though it is a 24 hour reset. I get a stack of Fel Iron Ore, sells between 7 gold adn 14 gold. I stick to the 7 to 8 gold a stack, prospect it, and from 5 stacks I usually get between one blue rated gem up to 5 depending on my luck that day. So instead of buying a outragiously priced design (i.e. most Living Ruby designs go for over 250 gold) I just sell the gems to people dumb enough to buy that expensive design.Ī raw Living Ruby sells for about 55 gold on Eonar, a cut Living Ruby (regardless of the design) sells for about 40 gold. So I guess I have saved the 250+ gold for the design, and made 10 gold more selling the raw gem. Hell with this over priced Mercurial Stone, haven't seen one under 50 gold yet, but I am not stupid enough to go and buy the mats and pay some Alc. another 40 gold to make the damb thing.Īlso be intelligent about selling your stuff, selling Monday through thursday will get you higher prices than on the weekend when all the strange people like to cheat themselves out of gold by undercutting everyone, and then the next rocket sceintist shows up and sells his for less, and so on. But come monday evening all of their auctions expire and you can get a good price for the things you sell.
